Getting Back to Work

LeavesLabor Day is upon us again!  Where did summer go?

How are we sharing our Holiday?  Brandon is home with his new addition to his family – congrats Brandon and Sue Ellen!  Doug and Pam Hamlin are unpacking in their new residence in Central New York!  And, while three Robinson’s are going back to school in a week – I will be out speaking this Labor Day to Canisius College’s athletic department on Monday.  I will be at the East Greenbush School District meeting on Tuesday.  The fall speaking continues – I am ready to get back to work.

As far as our advocacy work –   we are in the process of working with ACCES-VR, NDI and Kessler Foundation building the NY TAP (work to hire) program for the Credit Union Association of New York.   This program will assist interested credit unions in hiring people with disabilities.

This fall,  Our Ability will be reaching out to organizations in the Capital Region in regard to speaking, sales and leadership training as well as video production services. We are excited about enhancing our services. We look forward to bringing our experience to work for you.

We had a wonderful summer with Our Ability – we crossed New York State along the Historic Erie Canal raising awareness for all people with disabilities.  We documented with video stories we shared on You Tube and Blogs.
