Our Ability looking for Vista leader for Community Engagement.
- Our Ability is seeking a VISTA to enhance current fundraising efforts. Each year, Our Ability hosts a bike ride along the beautiful Erie Canalway trail to raise awareness of the benefit of employment for all New Yorkers and to raise funds toward building employment opportunities and empowering people with disabilities.
- Our goal is to bring new people out each morning by reaching out to high schools, adaptive sports organizations, and disability service providers. We understand employment and physical activity go hand-in-hand for individuals with disabilities. This VISTA will help grow this fundraiser and develop a new gold fundraiser to be held in the Fall of 2020. The VISTA will also develop a list of special ed coordinators in schools across New York state. This list will be used to advertise local jobs available to persons with disabilities
