There is an opportunity for individuals with disabilities in New York State to protect certain financial assets. The NY ABLE account is a wonderful opportunity for individuals to save. Jenna McClosky the outreach coordinator for New York ABLE. Together we discussed the human experience of disability in relation to financial needs, the New York ABLE account and where we’re going in the next five years The NY ABLE Program is a tax-advantaged savings program for individuals with disabilities and their families to save for their current or long-term needs while maintaining their ability to benefit from federal benefits programs such as SSI, SSDI, and Medicaid.
